Allie Menig is a visual artist who is drawn to the intricate details of the world around her, finding beauty in all that she can and magic in the mundane. As a California native she grew up in the gold speckled foothills of the Sierra Nevadas, with the beauty of nature as her playground. She currently resides in Oakland with her son and their three cats.

She works with satin ribbon to create a play between tension and light, giving her art a depth of life. She believes that intentionally looking at this world through different perspectives has so much to offer, and she creates the same effect in her art.
